• How long have you been involved in the spirit industry?
  * Ed – As a parent for seven years
  * Lance – Participant and coach for 10 years
  This is National Cheer Stars first year to be involved in the spirit industry!
• Mission/main idea behind National Cheer Stars:  We acknowledge that the competitions are for the kids, but recognize that it is also for the families.
• What does being a member of OSIP mean to you?  It gives us a chance to meet our competition in a friendly environment and meet new vendors.
• Why did you join OSIP?  Besides going to Vegas, to meet everyone in the industry.
• And what does National Cheer Stars do to promote the spirit industry?  We travel all over the United States to help gyms put on open houses – lending that helping hand when they can use it and answering any questions that visitors have about competitions.
• Interesting fact about National Cheer Stars:  We listen to the parents and value the coach’s input.
• What would you like to see happen with OSIP in the coming year?  Especially at the conference - more speakers dealing with the spirit industry, team breakout groups, a forum to list what all the vendors sell, and to discuss friendly competition.
